Fireplace: *On During: October 1st - February 28th *Off During: March 1st - September 30th Common Concerns: *Road conditions: Our cabin is on a paved road, but it is steep. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to the cabin, please feel free to ask us! Our cabin does not require a 4 wheel drive under NORMAL weather conditions. *Well Water: Our cabin is on a well water system. Well water here in the Smoky Mountains sometimes has a different feel to it and often times a slight sulfur smell. A brown color is not common but can occur. Well water is safe to drink and to use for bathing and cooking. We have water systems in place to help such as pumps and softeners but keep in mind it may smell and feel different than the water you are use to. Also, the well takes time to recoup itself after a lot of water has been used. This is a common problem in this area and there are times when you may have to use water sparingly or wait for the water pressure to rebuild. *TV & WiFi: We have smart TVs in all rooms and WiFi at the cabin. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains or trees will cause problems with the signal. We always want our guest to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem. *Pest & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. Our cabin is treated monthly for pests, but there are times you will still find bugs. Please let us know if there is an excess and they are causing trouble, we will handle it as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please never feed, taunt or approach wildlife of any kind. This is their home and we are the visitors.

This was our first time in the Smokey Mountains as a family. When we drove through the mountains to the house we realized it takes a long time to get through the mountains. As we arrived to the location it was an instant relief to see such a beautiful view of the valley right when you walk into the house. My wife was so happy and loved the feeling of the cabin space which was really huge for our 3 person family. We slept one night in the upstairs and one night in the basement and both were very relaxing. The hot tub was a favorite for our daughter who wanted to get in each chance she had. For food, on the way to the house you pass by a small town called Wears Valley that has some good options for local restaurants and trucks. The taco truck was our favorite. The grocery shopping we did was only 15 minutes away at a Publix so that was really convenient. There were plenty of hiking places nearby the house which was a great relief to not have to drive all around the mountains. Loved it

Excellent location for relaxing while still being close to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The place was truly a home away from home with benefits like porch/hot tub views of sunsets and sunrises over the mountains, stargazing through the loft sky light, and a pool table on the lower level. A bathroom on each floor was also quite convenient.

We went during non-peak season so even though the trees were not in bloom the view was still so beautiful. Lower level with the two beds does stay much cooler than the rest of the house (we went end of February) but they did have a space heater we used, which worked well to heat that area. Amanda was very kind and helpful, also quickly responded to everything. The road to get to their place is not bad maybe a little dicey at night but it’s a short road and just take it slower around the bends in case another car is coming down. Overall it was a really spectacular place in a cute little town and short drive to the Smokies or Pigeon Forge. We definitely plan to come back, it really is the perfect location!

Lovely stay for a getaway close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The home was very clean and the host was both extremely friendly and welcoming, especially since we booked for same day arrival. The views are very beautiful from inside and out. There is a great local coffee shop down the road, and you are just far enough from town to experience the private mountain experience.

We had a great time. The place is an amazing cabin with a nice big main area to relax and play games. Loved having the hot tub downstairs, which had great views of the sunsets and stars! Amanda was very responsive and even had flowers and cookies delivered for Valentine’s Day! The recent freeze brought a well problem but it was fixed very quickly and Amanda kept us updated through the whole process! Would highly recommend!

A wonderful place to stay. Driving through the smoky mountains 20 or 30 minute drive to everything fun. Quiet at night and the morning. Stayed for 5 days maybe saw like 10 cars on the roads to the house or out. The cabin is set up beautifully and the host could’ve have been more helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

A wonderful home situated right on the edge of the Smokeys and nestled right in between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Everything was clean and presentable. Our host was very courteous and responsive. We couldn't have asked for anything more during our stay. Thank you!

It is easy to get to main attractions from our cabin. All roads to the cabin are paved and wide enough for 2 cars. We are located about 15-20 min away from pigeon forge and 25-30 from Gatlinburg. Traffic does increase during busier times so please GPS everything to plan to arrive at correct times to anything planned.
